Aesthetic Perfection in my home country? That doesn’t happen often, so I planned to go with my friend and sister. My friend supports AP via Patreon and decided to upgrade to VIP for herself. On the morning of the show, she received a message from the band saying she was the only one who had purchased the VIP package (it’s a very small venue, and again, it’s in the Netherlands where this style of music isn’t popular). They offered to let her bring some friends along if she’d like. Of course, my sister and I were happy to oblige.

This meant we got a private acoustic show before the doors opened and had the chance to chat with Daniel Graves, Joe Letz, and Constance Antoinette. Because the theme was the funeral of headlining shows, we took some very funny photos as freaky zombies. It was quite hard to keep a straight face!

During this tour, the support act was Isaac Howlett from Empathy Test. I had only recently discovered their music and was instantly hooked. Isaac also joined AP on stage during the end of their show for a final song together. It was a fitting end to a fun evening.

Mind you, the lighting was non-existent, but at least I did manage to shoot some pics with my compact camera.
